I'm currently a Junior and plan to apply to medical schools this upcoming Fall 2015 term (June 1st). I was planning to take the 2015 MCAT in the summer but after seeing how tough biochem is...i'm wondering if I should drop my biochem course I'm taking now and study for the current MCAT. (have all my pre-med courses done with).

Stay in biochemistry and work hard. Don't try to take the "easy" way. If you can't understand biochemistry work harder and you will get better. Many of these courses require developing a gut for it. Develop this gut or else you will never gain the mentality of a doctor in the long run.

Also, if you register today. There may be no spots left in your area. I just checked and all of them in my area are filled.
