I'm currently in a medical laboratory science program, and we are studying blood groups, blood types, and antigens; the problem is, the text we use (seen here: http://www.alibris.com/Modern-Blood-Banking-Transfusion-Practices/book/4418535?matches=97) gives you lots of detail, but no "big picture" of the things we study. Is there a book like the nursing series "__Make Incredibly Easy" for blood banking?

Thank you in advance. :)

Don't know, but Harmening is kind of the blood banking bible. It is an incredibly detailed text. But I think you should be able to focus on what your MLS instructors are teaching in lecture for more of the big picture.

Anything in particular you're struggling with to frame this big picture?
