Hey, I just wanted to ask about where I might be able to buy good quality dental instruments for a decent-to-low price. Currently I'm a student myself (not of the dental practice), but I just wanted to buy something for my wife (she is a foreign student) as she's about to begin clinical surgeries in her coming year. So, any recommendation on site that sell good kits (or just all-around good material) for a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you need, but anything that is sold for dentistry isn't cheap. And if it is, it isn't quality. I would recommend finding out what she needs specifically and attending a conference that has an exhibit floor with a lot of vendors (if you can). Or, try to buy the instruments off of a dentist that will sell them to you secondhand.

Thanks upperbyte, yes I realize that they aren't cheap, but perhaps I can at least be advised as to some of the known brands, good and bad. For example, I am constantly seeing Hu-Friedy as being popular with students, is there a reason for that? Also, what I would like to buy at the present would be either a basic hygienic or surgery kit. I can probably spend, 5xx-8xx, more if I know I'm getting a deal if that helps as well.
