I did that. I said in my statement that I ultimately planned to be a physician and I gained acceptances to the schools that I applied to. As long as your statement doesn't give off the impression that you are using an MPH to become more competitive then you should be fine mentioning it. I would just briefly mention that your goal is to eventually become a physician and how an MPH will help you with your future goals.
