Can my financial aid be transferred to another school if I get off its waitlist?

I am accepted to a school out of state. I am waitlisted at my state school. It is very possible that I will be pulled off the waitlist at my state school (the one I want to attend) after I have already begun classes at the school out of state.---My state school begins classes a week later. How will this affect my financial aid and can it be transferred back to my state school???? I would really like to stay close to home for medical school. Thanks.

It can't be transferred, but you can probably get the same stuff. The thing is that you'll have to get a financial aid award from the new school, and then accept what they're offering. My understanding is that financial aid offices are very quick in arranging financial aid for students accepted at the last minute, so I wouldn't worry about it.
