Hi friends.
I'm a Canadian student (at Western University) and I'm planning on applying to ontario schools, but I'm also looking to compile a list of American schools to apply to. Here's what my application boils down to:
cGPA: 3.98 (all science/math)
MCAT: 38 (12PS, 13VR, 13BS)
Research: one summer in a cancer research lab, re: targeted genome editing
ECs/Employment/Shenanigans:
-lifeguard after highschool (1yr)
-resident advisor (2 yrs)
-multiple choirs/music groups
-camp counselor (6+ years)
-private tutor & western tutor (highschool & university courses)
-VP student council
-NSERC (that I ended up not claiming)
-several departmental scholarships for academics/research
Goal for this coming summer is to get some shadowing/clinical volunteering in, because obviously I'm super lacking in that area.
Anyway, my numbers are good but I know the ECs are lacking. Which Canadian schools are worth applying to? Any american ones?
Thanks amigos! Best of luck with this whole whirlwind process.
