After ASV recall, does anyone have any opinions or data on management of these patients? Do you get them biPAP with backup rate or CPAP or elect not to treat?

Yes, bring them back and redo an in-lab titration with CPAP vs BPAP with/without supplemental oxygen. You'll find that they didn't really need the more expensive machine to begin with. It's typically those with seriously high dosages of opiate who'll need ASV.
