Cerner has different 'builds' for different hospital systems. They advertise the ability to perform a great deal of data mining, but it is a horrible interface and programming errors in the research interface are capable of shutting down the whole network. If you want to add to your existing build, you pay for programming. The programming is at the level expected from a sophomore at a community college: local variables often aren't passed appropriately and they typically program work-arounds that hinder future development.
EPIC seems to be the preferred outpatient software, but it isn't great for inpatient medicine.
