Your numbers are competitive for low tier MDs, especially w/ the upward trend.

What state are you? Buy MSAR.

Colorado, only one MD school here :(
Colorado is still a pretty lucky state. Again, buy MSAR to help you choose schools. And you might want to hurry, before its too late in the cycle.

I suggest:

Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Rochester
Rush
Rosy Franklin
NYMC
VCU
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola
Creighton
Oakland B
Western MI
Any DO program. Start with BCOM, RVU, TUNCOM and DMU
Your state school.

Top 20 school (known for grade deflation, but I doubt this matters), major in math (which really helped my sGPA pull through at the end lol).

cGPA: 3.55
sGPA: 3.51
MCAT: 511
ORM
Low SES family.

50 hours of shadowing from a variety of specialties
400 hours of research
200 hours of volunteering at hospital
~50 hours of nonclinical volunteer work (tutoring underprivileged middle schoolers)
50 hours of work (tutoring SAT to high schoolers for an established tutoring company)
Not much else to say here I guess.

Really strong upward trend. GPA freshman year was 2.6. Sophomore year was 3.4. Junior and senior were both 4.0. I also had to retake one semester of chem, one semester of bio, and one semester of orgo. Not sure if this is gonna hurt me. The GPAs above are all AMCAS calculated btw.

Please help, I don't know if I should even bother with MD schools with these stats and whether or not to just go for solely DO schools.
