Hi SDNers, I'm going to take the MCAT possibly in the summer of 2014. If by any chance I don't do well and the only retakes are the new MCATs in 2015, would I have to go through the entire MCAT preparation process to get ready for the new MCAT? Is the new one a lot more different than the old one? Thanks for all your replies :)

Its a different test that tests different abilities. The official recommendation is to have taken Bio 1 and 2, G-Chem 1 and 2, O-Chem 1 and (hopefully) 2, Biochemistry, Psychology and Sociology. I don't know a whole lot about the test and how different the prep will be, but the sections are different, the content is different, the scale is different, the time allowed is different.

Just study hard and leave no room for error.
Deal with the new test if it comes to that.

Make sure you take biochem if there is a chance you will be taking the new MCAT. Those are the questions that the sample test takers found the most difficult.
