Clinical Pathology

Does anyone know how the system works in Australia in regards to clinical versus anatomic pathology?
Can Consultants work in both areas, or generally in one or the other?
Are clinical pathologists routinely employed , or do PhD's usually run the chemistry and hematology labs?
Any info appreciated...
