Hi everyone. I know this question has come up a lot but I'm unsure as to what defines clinical and non-clinical volunteer work. I went to an interview 2 days ago for a volunteering job at a hospital near me. They explained that what I would be doing would be visiting patient rooms, talking to them, and asking if they need anything. I assume I would also just be doing other small errands around the hospital as well. Would this count as clinical volunteering? Or should I try to find something else? And if so where do I look? I also plan to shadow a cardiologist for a week this summer and hopefully a family doctor or a DO in my area. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

That is considered clinical volunteering. Anything with patient interaction = clinical volunteering.
