Hi all,

I was just wondering about consulting as a potential gap year opportunity. I used to be a business major but am now studying bio/philosophy at a target school for management consulting firms. A couple questions:

1) How is consulting viewed by med schools? I'd plan on continuing to do medical-related volunteer work while I'm working.

2) How does the general process work? I assume I go through the typical channels for consulting recruitment?

3) Which firms generally have strong healthcare consulting arms? Are there any I should be looking to network with very strongly that tend to hire a good deal of science majors?

If anybody has any experience with this (direct or otherwise), it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks much in advance!
