In Table 1 which metal would make the best sacrificial
anode for protecting iron from corrosion?

So iron is 0.44 V and they have magnesium (2.37) and zinc (.76) as possible choices. I distinctly remember in TBR that they said "don't use magnesium" cause it'll basically just blow up in your face (too reactive).

Now I'm doing another test from another company and they are like "use magnesium!"

this'll never happen on the real aamc, right?

Yeah, I know it is good for being oxidized but ...

Hmm ... maybe it's just for hot magnesium? Oh well, maybe I just overthought it. For group 1 metals though, it would be a no-no, right?

I'm concerned (TBR mentions this too) about this: :thinking:
 
It is definitely reactive with water, but maybe the anodes are specially crafted ?

I just know I have seen it quite often.
