Wondering if anyone knows of where to find estimated conversions for the AAMC Science Assessment tests.

Tried looking here and on google but couldn't find anything. Maybe my boolean string skills need improving in addition to my MCAT.

So from what some others have told me, just take the percent of what you got on the Self Assessment, multiply by the number of questions in a normal section on a regular MCAT. This assumes that you will get the same % of questions correct. Then you can look at the AAMC 10 scale conversion chart to get a rough idea of where you are at. Hope this helps others as well.

Hmm for example, 64% of 52 is 33 like you said. This mean you would have got a 33/52 in the 'mock' PS section if it was all gen chem. I use AAMC 10 scale conversion chart (sn2ed posted it somewhere)

----PS ----VR ---BS
15 52-52 40-40 51-52
14 50-51 39-39 50-50
13 49-49 38-38 47-49
12 46-48 37-37 46-46
11 44-45 34-36 43-45
10 41-43 31-33 39-42
9 38-40 29-30 35-38
8 33-37 27-28 32-34
7 28-32 24-26 29-31
6 23-27 21-23 26-28
5 19-22 19-20 23-25
4 15-18 15-18 20-22
3 11-14 12-14 16-19
2 8-10 9-11 14-15
1 0-7 0-8 0-13

Which is equivalent to an 8. Do the same for physics, orgo, bio, and even VR. Hope that helps!

A 33/52 would correspond to a scaled score of 7-8 on the PS section.
But I think it's a bit erroneous to convert SA percentage for a PS scaled score because, well, simply the two things are so dissimilar (number of questions wise)
