Just curious, are there any specialities that can do cosmetic procedures besides dermatology and plastic surgery?

I remember reading that a FP can give botox injections, hair removal, laser treatments, and some other non-invasive dermatologic procedures... is this true?

If you have a medical license, you technically can do anything you want....

You just have to realize that if someone wants a cosmetic procedure, they are going to have more faith in a dermatologist or plastic surgeon than an FP. The FPs that I've seen do Botox have MAJOR rapport with their patients and worked hard to build it. Even then, the cosmetics just supplement the practice, it doesn't do much for total income.

Also, if something goes wrong, you better have a lot of training under your belt to prove that you knew what you were doing otherwise your ass is fried in court.

Any physician and surgeon is legally allowed to do anything - however, if something goes wrong - laws such as negligence will take you down.
