This is a little confusing... The OT department doesn't require a personal statement, but I see CSUmentor asks for one. Do we still have to provide a personal statement for CSUmentor even though the department doesn't require a personal statement? I'm guessing that I need one fore CSUmentor but the OT department won't even look at it...

I asked the admissions chair and he said they (the dept) don't read personal statements

I went to their information session last year and the department does not require a personal statement.

Does anyone have any tips on the personal statement? I wrote mostly about my eating disorder as a backstory and how my experience in volunteering with OTs helped me confirm my interest in OT. The 500 word limit makes it difficult to expand more on how I've prepared for grad school, though. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
