I can't speak for the CSULA program, but I enjoyed the SFSU one. The post-bac classes are guaranteed and restricted to only post bac students, so class sizes are small. The advisors are frequently available in person, but not so much via email. They also have an applying colloquium, which basically walks you through the AMCAS application, provides personal statement help, and mock interviews. I didn't take it, but heard this information from close friends who shared this info with me.
