Fellow student-doctors,

Long story made short. I'm a very average student, perhaps slightly below. I don't have research in my past, I've never been published. I didn't join any clubs, or run for any class offices. I passed years 1 and 2, and the first round of boards by a narrow margin. There is not much that makes me stand out on paper. I interview well, and I get along with people (not a jerk), but I have literally no idea what on Earth to put on a CV? How does one make a entirely bland history sound worthwhile while remaining honest? I appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Put all your undergrad stuff on it. That should get you started.

Get thee to work getting involved. ECs don't matter much but having nothing on your cv will stand out. Get some fluff on there. Most importantly, try to get some research going and a pub or poster or something. Undergrad stuff plus a lot of fluff and some research should net you a decent cv.
