i took DATs first time in july 05 (20/20/20). didn't get in anywhere last year, reapplying next year (summer 08) after masters. if i remember, most of the schools i asked said they want scores within 2 years prior to application deadline.
is this a general rule or anyone perhaps know different (specific school)? i was told by adcom that my DAT is solid, so not looking to retake it.....

How many schools did you apply to that you didn't get in to any with a 20/20/20. Those are some nice scores.

Damn, that's scary that you didn't get in to any of them.
As for your question, I believe a DAT score is good for up to 3 years after the date you took it.

dat score doesn't expire

but every school has their own requirements on how recent the score must be.
It's best to ask the schools u r insterested in directly

On another note, does the 3 years expire at the time of your application, or at the time of your matriculation?

Schools usually ask for scores within 2 years. I would call up the schools you're applying to. I'm in the same boat. My scores are great but they were taken over two years ago.
