How many of y'all have dentist for parents or in the extended family and what percentage of your dental school class have dentists in the family?

Me = none.

My class = 25%? Pretty rough guess; I know it's a significant percentage but less than majority.

me, no. like 20% i think in my class.

hey guys how r u?i m a new member and want to pass nbde part 1.but i have no idea about nbde preparation.i just completed my graduation.so how i can prepare me for nbde?pls help me and let me know ur advice.i want to know what should i follow for starting of my nbde part 1 preparation.............thanks

No one in my family in dentistry. I would estimate about 20% of my dental classmates had family in dentistry. I also did orthodontics and I would say 50% of the residents' dads were orthodontists. I barely knew what a NiTi wire was, so I think it is definitely an advantage to have a parent or family member in the field.
