Do I give up?

I am IMG with a step one score of 208 and I recently failed my step 2ck with a score of 206.
It's disheartening because I really want to do pysch but I know programs look down at re-attempts and low scores. Lets say I score a 213 on my re-attempt, do I still have a realistic chance at a program?

I would recommend considering peds or family as other career options. In the current residency climate, you will have an easier time getting interviews with your scores in those fields than in psych.

Apply broadly and deeply. Just because you failed doesn't automatically mean you're going to be a bad doctor.
