my first degree was in biology and all my prereqs were taken then. GPA then was a 2.5 (mad Cs)
I have 100 hours of volunteering at cancer centers and hospitals

top choice is NYU but i'm applying to schools like:
UCONN, UNC, NYMC, SUNY Downstate, U of Chicago, UVA, VCU, some DO schools. What should I do to strengthen my application even more?

Research isn't measured in hours. The goal is to get on a publication. Your numbers other than chem look ok. If say don't have a "top choice" and you will be infinitely happier where you end up. More lower stat schools might be advisable.

Is the 3.67 GPA just the new degree? If so, consider the GPA that will be seen by schools will be the combination of the old and new.

Your MCAT is great and if assuming your total GPA Is 3.67 you're in a good position. Submit early as possible and to as many schools as possible and I think you'll have a great shot.
