Hi folks- I'm in a post bacc program at the moment and trying to plan my last year. Assuming I pass Organic 2 I only have a year of physics to take before I take the MCAT next July and submit my application.
I have a very good science GPA from post bacc, but a slightly below average overall GPA (just under 3.1 at present) from my undergrad days. I have identified some retakes that would leave me with an approximate 3.5 overall GPA.
I had planned to take a full year of physics and biochem (fall 2010/spring 2011), submit my applications next summer and do retakes in the summer/fall, updating my over GPA on the application as I went along. I'm now wondering if I should just take physics and use the time to get my retakes out of the way. That way I could apply with a better overall GPA and just let the schools know that I am taking Biochem.
Any advice would be appreciated.
