Ever thought of a working holiday in Australia?

Doctors to Home is an after hours medical service (medical deputising service) based in sunny Perth, Western Australia. Each night between 6pm and 12pm (hours can be changed if desired, we are flexible), you will be driven by a driver and medical assistant/chaperone to a patient's house for non-urgent medical reviews. These include reviews for prescriptions renewals, medical certificates, referrals for specialists, and referrals for pathology/imaging results.

We are very flexible with both working hours and shifts, so we are more than happy to accomodate lengthy periods of leave for holidaying around this beautiful country. You will be paid £26 per patient consult. During the after hours period each doctor can on average expect to see between 10 to 20 patient a weeknight (about £500 a night), although some manage to see alot more. The weekends are much more lucrative, where on the average up to 30 patients can be seen (~ £750 ) .

To help you on your shifts you will be provided a driver, a car, a doctors bag with medication and all necessary medical equipment (otoscope, opthalmoscope, stethoscope, blood pressure machine, pulse oximeter, heart rate monitor, BSL machine etc) along with senior supervision if you are ever stuck on how to manage a patient.

This is an expression of interest. We are recruiting a new batch of doctors for the end of March to early April period 2015. You will need to qualify for full medical registration to practice in Australia with AHPRA. You however do not need to be vocationally trained or in a training program.

If you have any problems during the night you will have the oportunity to call our London trained Medical Director (a family practice doctor with more than 30 years experience) or advise the patient to go to the Emergency Department.

Please express your interest by emailing your CV/resume and proof of your medical registration to [email protected].

We hope to hear from your soon,

Kind regards,

Dr Wickramasinghe (Doctors to Home Practice Principal)

Dr Ponraja (Doctors to Home Practice Principal)

Dr Teh (Doctors to Home Practice Principal)
