Does one (and will one) have to be boarded in Sleep to read sleep studies?

I'm pretty sure that as it stands now, neurologists who are not boarded in sleep can read sleep studies (just as they can do EMGs and EEGs). However, will this change in the near future? I'm under the impression that after 2011 one will have to be sleep boarded to run a sleep facility, but does that mean you would have to be boarded if you just want to read sleep studies (performed in someone elses lab?).

Thanks

If the lab is accredited by the american academy of sleep medicine, the study has to be overread by someone certified in sleep medicine- as of july 1, overreading involves looking at every epoch of raw data.
