Hi everyone
I know I am thinking way ahead but can't help it...
Matched into a very competitive east coast residency (will start next year) given how hard residency can be wanted to get some input on how to navigate a residency with 2 kids under 3 years of age
If anyone has 'been there done that' and has pearls of wisdom please do share
PM me if you want
Thank you so very much

The fact that your residency is a very competitive one may make it very difficult...

Seriously though, two people in my residency program had two young children. One of them delivered her second not long before boards her third year. You just have to plan ahead and know how to budget your time. Family time is around dinner. After bedtime is study and work time.

You'll navigate it as you figure out how quickly you pick up the outside of work material.

I know a two-surgeon household with the female being a resident. She had a child this past year (her 2nd) and still kicks ass/has highest inservice scores. People try to make things seem harder than they are. If you want it, you will figure it out.
