Emergency Medicine externship question

Hi all,
Does anyone know when emergency medicine externship rotations start to fill up for 4th year? I'm hoping to get some informal time in the ER this spring (I'm a third year now) before deciding on my externship plans...theoretically, EM is high up there on my list of career possibilities, but since my school doesn't do an EM rotation until 4th year, I'm not entirely sure. That said, if I like EM, I'd need to do two different EM externships before getting in my residency applications in order to get some LoRs...

Rotation spots often fill up quickly. Apply for them through VSAS when you can. Audition rotations in EM are very important and you want to get a good schedule in the right location.
