Where are you going to med school? Outside the US? Are you an IMG?
Endocrinology here is a fellowship after a 3-year Internal Medicine residency. To apply for residency here you'd need to at least pass the USMLE Step 1, 2 CS and 2 CK. Go to ecfmg.org, ERAS (
http://www.aamc.org/students/eras/ ) or nrmp.org to read more about the Match process.[/QUOT
Is IMG an immigrant? no am not.
I am a student of MBBS.(3rd year) that is i am in a 5 year graduation pragramme...outside USA! but am sure to do specialisation by passing the steps.....I am intrested in either neuro physician or endocrinology the later being the top priority!
I really want to know the scope? Is it a safe field to fall back on and enjoy the work as well? so far i have enjoyed studying both neuro and endo equally.
Please can you tell me more...i have gathered a lot of information about steps but no one so far seems to provide a substantial background of the senario.
Can you please tell me which hospitals ideally train in the field of endocrinology?the time span?
thankyou for replying
