Minimum is 5 yrs- 1 yr gen surg plus at least 4 of ENT. Some places require 5 years ENT so the total is 6 yrs. I think UCLA had 2 yr of gen surg plus 4 yrs ENT.
Other places allow you to do one year of research if you want to, so those totals would be 6 yrs too.

i hear ent is kind of competitive since it offers a nice lifestyle after residency. how competitive actually is it? what step 1 scores are needed for a shot at an ent position. what scores did other applicants for ent get. mine was 238.
