Hello,
I got offered a job as a state infectious disease epidemiologist. However, I have mixed feelings about leaving my job as a microbiologist.
I'd love to work for the CDC, and I feel as though it'd be easier to get a job as a micro at the CDC than an epi. I work with the CDC directly for my current job. I am not sure how closely infectious disease epis work with the CDC, or what the qualifications are to be an epi at the CDC. Do you have to have gone through the EIS program or have a PhD/MD?
Thanks for any input you may have!
