ERAS app - should I explain gaps before taking Step 1

If I took more than 6 months studying for Step 1 and passed the exam on the first attempt, should I explain that in my application?

Does that mean that you took it during 3rd year instead of before 3rd year? If so, I doubt anyone will care or ask you about it. If this resulted in you not graduating on time, then yes, you need to address it. I ask the latter bit because I know my med school didn't let people progress to MS3 if they hadn't passed Step 1.

I took the exam before MS3. It took me 8 months to study for it...so I started my MS3 8 months after MS2. I'm a caribbean grad.

You have to explain all gaps in your medical education which would include this.
