I am starting UAB's online MPH in HCOP with an emphasis on MCH this fall. I have extensive work and volunteer experience in MCH and am excited about starting the program, but am admittedly a little nervous about obtaining a degree solely online. My BA is in History and while I did participate in online forums for one class in college, I've never taken a class that was conducted entirely online. If anyone would be willing to share their experience with their online MPH program, I'd be really grateful. Just general stuff: how it worked, how many hours a day were devoted to schoolwork/lectures, etc, whether you missed being in a classroom. Also, it'd be great to know if there's anyone out here who completed an online MPH and went on to get a DrPH or PhD. Thanks!
