Now for class i do not think we need to memorize them. Do these disease come up again during 2nd year? We have an integrated curric.

Yup. You see pretty much everything in First Aid more than once, and the more important stuff many more times than that.

Annotating FA as an MS1 is good practice, but it really becomes a useful and high yield activity during second year when the info is presented in a much more relevant clinical/case based context. Don't worry if you aren't able to keep up on it your first year or if it doesn't seem overtly useful. It will in time.

Agree with above.

You might want to annotate some in the biochem section, as that stuff sucks and isn't hit very hard 2nd year.

Otherwise, stay the hell away from studying for step 1 until 2nd year. Seriously, you will burn out if you start stressing about this too early.

Do not expect for one second that your school is going to provide everything that you need for USMLE. You have to be proactive about making sure that you cover all of the USMLE topics whether your school does or not.

Great advice. The converse is true as well, not everything that your professors emphasize will even be germane for Step 1.
