So my school charges a 5% fee for ALL federal loans. This sounds ridiculous to me.
For example, if I borrow $40,000, there is a $2000 fee! wth??
4 years of medical school means about $250,000 ==> $12,500 for this "fee"
is this common to other osteopathic schools out there?

For grad plus? Pretty sure that's the governments fee, not your school. Could be misunderstanding tho.

Government fee for "processing" not your school.

You will learn to expect these things. Your finances will be exploited for the rest of your life. It starts with your school boning you with ridiculous student loan policies and delays. It gets worse.
