Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to apply in the 2014 cycle and I just need a little help with finalizing my list. Here is me, on paper:

GPA: 3.86
sGPA: 3.9ish
MCAT: 14PS/12VR/12BS- 38M

Research:
-2 years neuroscience/psych lab
-one grant for independent study
-one poster presentation
-honor's thesis accepted

Leadership:
-President of one student organization
-Scripture study group leader
-Peer mentor for incoming students
-Freshman Orientation- Diversity discussion leader

Service:
-ER Volunteer (100 hrs)
-Hospice Volunteer (100 hrs)
-Big Brother's Big Sisters (50 hrs)
-Elementary School Science Club (100 hrs)

I'm not really sure how to integrate hobbies into the application, since you need verification.

Here is my tentative list though:

Albert Einstein
Boston U
Columbia
Duke
George Washington
Harvard
Jefferson
Johns Hopkins
Keck, USC
Miami
Michigan
Mt Sinai
NYMC
Northwestern
Penn
Pitt
Stanford
Temple
Tufts
U of Chicago
Vermont
Wash U

In state-
Eastern Virginia
Virginia
Virginia Commonwealth

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

It's a top heavy list, but your app is strong. I think you'll be very likely to get in somewhere.

As far as hobbies, I just listed them all under one activity slot and put myself as the contact person. They're not going to verify a hobby.

I have no insight into hobbies but your list looks good.... given your great stats... good luck! You will get in and do great... it is the culture of this network to say your list I'd too top heavy... but you have a good handful of not super top heat ctapshoot schools:)

Wow....everything looks stellar! Aim high. Suggest adding UCSD and UCSF to the list, maybe next door U MD and UNC too, and perhaps Vanderbilt, UTx Soutwestern and Baylor. Don't think you really need Rosy F and NYMC, perhaps trade for Loyola. If you can't get into the schools on your list, something is very wrong. Good luck!
