I was asked to help put together an estimate for a fusion surgery and the follow up physical therapy and other care needed on a case where the patient is not getting the fusion as the auto insurance limits are not sufficient to cover any additional care.
I can estimate the fusion cost, but, I don't have any idea for the follow up care.
Are there any references (the AMA maybe?) that outline the total care needed. For example, "post fusion care typically consists of 8 - 12 physical therapy visits, pain medication, and 2 subsequent visits with the surgeon" ...or something similar?
