How would you split this into half reactions in order to balance it?

K2Cr2O7 + HCl --> KCl + CrCl3 + H2O + Cl2

I don't think this is a redox reaction. So, there's no need to split it into half reactions in order to balance it. I think the balanced reaction looks like:

K2Cr2O7 + 14HCl --> 2KCl + 2CrCl3 + 7H2O + 3Cl2
 
thank you. the way kaplan explained the answer was odd, because they broke down the charges on each side. basically they made it look a lot harder than it really is.
