I am looking at a lecture powerpoint that states the following:

Neural Stimulation for Glucagon Release: Beta Adrenergic Activity (NE & E)
Neural Inhibition for Glucagon Release: Alpha Adrenergic Activity (NE & E)

I think I'm over-thinking this but please correct me if I am wrong:
There both alpha and beta adrenergic receptors on pancreatic B cells that both respond to NE and E. Depending on upregulation on whichever receptor, NE and E will stimulate or inhibit glucagon release. Is this correct? Otherwise, if it is wrong, please explain how there NE and E can cause stimulation and inhibition of glucagon release.

Thank you!
