Hi, this has been asked earlier, but I guess technology evolves everyday.

So, can you give me a couple of names for professional, commercially available (but not enterprise-costly) softwares that help analyze the scanned images for general measurements, cell counting, nuclear density measurement, circle shape factor etc, color discrimination—basically doing as much as you can think of with H&E and IPOX scanned/photographed images?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but Image J has about 1000 plugins doing often overlapping, redundant, or complex tasks that I seriously don't have time to figure it all out. I would prefer a simple, elegant, one-stop, commercial software that does what a humble pathology resident would need to take care of simple projects. But thanks for the suggestion.

I spent a significant amount of time doing image analysis research. Nikon offers a good commercial software package - Nikon Elements - which is worth looking into.
