I am a first year med student (or was until yesterday). Short version of events- I failed a course and successfully remediated it by passing a comprehensive remediation exam. The remediation exam was the first day of second semester and needless to say that my Christmas break was spent home studying and worrying. I passed some courses. But, I failed a course this semester and 2 Fs = Dismissed. I would give anything to be able to start over again next year.
If you have any experience with dismissals, promotion committees, appeals, repeating first year, ANYTHING, that could offer insight please share. I know I was given the chance of a lifetime and 6 months later I am in a nightmare.
