hi-
i am a med student at a top 15 school with:
-board score: 218
-passes in all third year rotations
-a big FAIL on my surgery shelf
-no research but lots of serving the community stuff (was planning on doing medicine first...)

just wondering if i actually have a chance of getting into a gen surg residency being that i haven't honored anything and my surgery shelf situation stinks....thanks for your honest opinon. i appreciate it.

You initially failed your surgery shelf? Did you then retake it and do well?
