So I read that the heart cell have an action potential which involves slow voltage-gated calcium channels. but sketal muscle dont have this voltage-gated calcium channel. Why? I dont get why there would be VG-calcium channels in the heart and not in any other muscle. They are both muscles and hence I would think they both have these calcium channels in them

also cause like sacroplasmic reticulum thing is in all muscles right? and they control calcium concentrations...so thats why I think both heart and muscle should have calcium channels.
