Hi everyone,

As the title suggests, I got a 29 on my MCAT (9 ps, 10 bs/vr), 3.901 cGPA, 3.85 sGPA. I go to a private school in MI, and looking into both DO and MD schools. I would preferably go out of state, but am definitely applying to in-state schools. Here are some of my other activities:

100 hours volunteering in patient transport at a hospital
50 hours volunteering at a Hispanic after-school program
1 month study in Kenya
1 summer of biochemistry research, hoping to publish in the next year or two
Assisted in a cardiovascular research study preformed by docs at a local hospital
Student Senate (leadership)
Resident Assistant (leadership, patient-care like experience)
Orientation Intern - 6 month internship planning and executing my college's orientation program (leadership)
Member of Honors Student Council
And I will be doing a semester in Wash DC this coming spring, hoping to get an internship in a medically related field.

What are my chances of getting in/where should I apply? Should I be looking to retake that MCAT? Here are my current schools:

Michigan State University (DO and MD)
University of Michigan (reach)
Oakland University
Loyola Stritch
Rush University
Rosalind Franklin
Chicago College of Osteopathic Med
Albany
New York Medical
Creighton
Drexel
Loma Linda
George Washington (reach)
Wake Forest (reach)

Thoughts? Advice? ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated!!

Ahaha I assume you're referring to Loma Linda. I am religious, but I also drink alcohol, so it certainly isn't my first choice. But students from my school have a history of being admitted, so I think it is worth applying to.

One does sign an abstinence agreement, though.

Fair enough. What about the other schools? Do you think I have a shot at them?

I count 8 schools on your list where you have a decent chance at an interview.
Hey, thanks. Which schools do you think those are? Are there any others that you recommend I apply to?
