This is a re-post from a while back, with some updated information. I would like some input about where to apply outside of California
Metrics
cGPA/sGPA: 3.92
MCAT: 30 (11/9/10) in May 2013; 41 (14/12/15) in September 2014
ECs
Research:
1500 hours of bench research split between two labs; letters from both, no pubs
Clinical:
75 hours clinical volunteering through school internship (essentially all patient contact)
100 hours physician shadowing (surgeon, in OR and in clinic, about 50/50)
Non-clinical:
Three days habitat for humanity (25 hours)
Vice president of fraternity for 1 year (member for all 4)
Tutoring for upper division bio class (three months)
Intern at local biotechnology company for six months
Currently tutoring for a private company, 20 hours per week
Currently volunteering for a local nonprofit, will have several hundred hours by time of application
I am applying for scribe positions currently and looking for hospital volunteer opportunities, and am going to apply next cycle. Are there any particular OOS schools I should shoot for? Thanks for reading
