HEMATOPATHOLOGY FELLOWSHIP AVAIL (2016)
Description:

This ACGME-accredited program provides intensive training in Hematopathology. It is aimed at those who have fulfilled a standard pathology residency and wish to specialize in hematopathology. The fellowship provides intensive training in bone marrow and lymph node pathology, hematology laboratory instrumentation, hemostasis, cytogenetics, and molecular diagnostics, with an emphasis on laboratory administration, clinical communication, and the appropriate utilization of ancillary techniques, such as flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and molecular diagnostics. There is hands-on experience in performing bone marrow aspirates/biopsies. Training in the use of, and investigative and clinical projects utilizing, molecular diagnostics are also available to the fellow.

Requirements:
Preference will be given to applicants who have completed AP/CP training, or are board eligible in anatomic and/or clinical pathology. All candidates must have passed USMLE Step 3.

Applicants should also request 3 letters of recommendation, one of which should come from their current program director, and proof of successful passing of USMLE Step 3.
