Many secondaries require that we list which required courses we have taken. In cases where I've taken multiple classes for the same subject, would it look better to list the higher level course, or the course that I received a better grade in?

For example, I have taken Chemistry 111 and Chemistry 205 - but I earned a higher mark for Chemistry 111.

I know they'll review my transcript anyways, but I can't help but wonder if listing the higher grade/course might give a better impression... any input?

How much higher is the higher grade?

For example, a B (for 300 level course) versus an A- (100 level course).

I don't think it matters. They see all your grades. They just want you to show that you completed the requirements. I'm using intro classes for that.

You list gen chem, gen bio, gen physics, OChem, etc. They will see the transcript for higher courses.
