We should receive letters from all of your research supervisors. This is true for both applicants to the MD/PhD program as well as applicants to the MD only track.
The online requirements state that HMS wants letters from all research supervisors. My more direct supervisor was neither a graduate student nor a postdoc, but he was also not my PI. Since he was my supervisor, I did not interact much with my PI whatsoever, rather communicating with my supervisor instead.
Does HMS want LoRs from PIs specifically (and simply use vague language in their requirements) or any research supervisor?
