Housing--When to look and sign a lease!

I was hoping that current medical students could comment on when would be a good time for future first year medical students to look for housing. How early can you typically sign a lease if you are planning on moving right before school begins next summer? What was your general time frame on this process?

I am planning to matriculate to LECOM-B next year, so any input from past or pretsent students would be greatly appreciated. However, I think this would be great for all future first years to see.

I went around June to find one. Some of the more popular ones were booked for move-in until September, so be mindful of this.

Really depends on the community the school is located in. If it is a smaller one I would jump on it sooner than later if possible.
