I have worked in a hospital surgery department for 2 years. I set up equipment in the operating room, position and prep patients for surgery, and transport patients and supplies around the department/hospital.
Previously I worked full time as an EMT-B for an ambulance company. Mostly I worked on BLS ambulances but I managed to pick up a few shifts on ALS ambulances also. I've also maintained a paid safety consultant job for the last 4 years with a local non profit company.
I have taught BLS (basic life support) for the american heart association for 3 years. I do this regularly about 400-500 people in the last 3 years. For the last year I have volunteered my time and equipment to teach counselers & volunteers for a residential drug & alcohol rehab CPR/First Aid .
Are my extra curriculars mediocre, fair, good, or _______? Am I in good shape?
